Autopsy 3.0 is a complete rewrite from Autopsy 2. It is Java-based and will be capable of running on many platforms. Initially though, it is being targeted at Windows. It is currently in Beta form.

Beta 3 of Autopsy added:

  • Ingest Modules
  • Single navigation tree
  • Keyword Search Module (indexed search)
  • Hash Lookup Module
  • Recent Activity Extraction Module (web artifacts, etc.)
